About Us

Hooser Horsemanship LLC is a small, family run horse farm dedicated to preserving the Rocky Mountain Horse through training and breeding of this beloved breed. Hooser Horsemanship LLC teaches adults and kids to care for, and ride horses with confidence.

In March of 2025, our farm had its first foal born, a beautiful silver black colt called Journey. Our other horses include his mother, Princess; our Rocky gelding, Junior; and the farm's Old Lady Mare, Mindy, the only non-Rocky.

I grew up taking jumping lessons and bought my own horse when I was fourteen. She was an Appaloosa/Morgan cross and I spent many hours of fun in the saddle traipsing across the Vermont fields and dirt roads.

As a teenager, I fell in love with the Rocky Mountain horse while working on a Rocky Mountain Horse farm in Vermont; Cedar Grove Farm. I spent many summers learning about this beautiful breed and knew I would eventually own one of my own. Their smooth gait and sweet-natured dispositions always amazed me.

I'm greatly enjoying keeping my horses on my own property and passing on a love of horses to the new generation of Hoosers.

In 2026, we relocated to Pleasureville, KY on 37 acres of Kentucky farmland. We're excited to continue our adventures with our Rocky Mountain horses. We have a few new horses; Sissy, Bella, and Midnight; with the hopes of breeding two mares in the spring of 2027!
