Winter riding

Today was a gorgeous day and my husband and I decided we had to take the horses out for a ride. This is the first time I've ridden my rocky since we bought her and I was just thrilled with how great she did. She's everything I hoped for! She needs work on her gait, but she was calm and sweet-natured and stood still for 10 minutes while we chatted with our neighbor. She also walked through puddles, around brush piles, on the road with traffic and dogs and went in front of Sunday and behind her when requested without batting an eye. I think I have a fantastic trail horse on my hands!
