Nicci has proved to me the last few days that she is ready to be certified! We will be going to a show in April to have it done. She is picking up her pace beautifully and is a pleasure to ride. Most days I don't want to get off her! Soon we will start rounding out her training with neck reining, side-passing, cantering and more. We should progress very quickly now that gaiting is set.
Sunday is pending a sale. If all goes well, she will be heading to Missouri in a few weeks! We will be sad to not have her with us anymore, but we're excited for her new life and for the chance to expand our Rocky business. Her new home sounds perfect for her and I expect her to be very happy.
Junior has a big day today. He is going to be gelded. Then when Sunday has gone, Nicci and Junior will be able to become buddies and they won't be alone. We'll be down to two horses for awhile, so it will be quiet. But we will be on the lookout for that special new Rocky we want to add to our herd for training. It's such a pleasure to be able to train these wonderful horses and promote them to others so people can have as much enjoyment out of them as we do!
