Mindy is finally healthy enough to be ridden! The girls had their first ride on her this afternoon. She was bareback with only a halter on and my girls couldn't have been more excited. All they did was sit on her while I walked her around.
I have not yet had a chance to ride as I usually have a little pal riding on my back. I'm hoping to have the occasional Saturday afternoon to myself so I can get my own dose of Mindy!
I have found that just spending an hour brushing and leading Mindy around is so therapeutic. Walking through the barn and smelling the hay affect me more than I knew. These are things that my girls will grow up experiencing! I'm so glad they get to have the country life while they live in the city!
